Big brain dungeon [Prototype]
Text-based game where you solve logic and linguistic puzzles to find the only safe door to the next room.
About This Game
In each room only one door is safe, and you use your deduction skills to find out which one.
In each room
- Only one door is safe.
- "Words of Wisdom" tell you the truth.
- Click on a door to pick it.
The dungeon
The dungeon is very dangerous as only one safe path will lead you the next room. It also wants to trick you by selecting some rooms randomly (they may be different by just one word). This means that whenever you restart the game, the texts and the safe doors might by different and you can't just remember the layout of the full game.
Words of Wisdom are true for the particular room they are in. They describe some fact about the doors or sentences written on them. They give you a base point to start solving the room.
Texts on doors may be true or false, and there may be no way to find out which one it is for a particular door, but you can always discover the one safe door without need for guessing.
The challenge
It can be tricky to think of all the possibilities, lies and facts. It can be useful to make notes.
Explanations
- "Even" doors means doors that are marked with 2 or 4.
- "Odd" doors are ones marked 1 or 3.
- If a sentence has two parts connected with "and", both parts need to be true for the sentence to be considered true.
- If a sentence has two parts connected with "or", it is considered true if at least one of the parts is true.
- A sentence can only be considered true or false. It can't be both.
The prototype
This game prototype was made in a couple of days and there is only 9 unique puzzles with 6 random variants.
