Website updates in April and May 2026
New! Games section page, linked in the header.
New game pages, footer links, and meta...
Games page
I added the games page (with 3 games). It lists the game pages with screenshots, thumbnails, short descriptions and tags. Hovering over the screenshot thumbnail images displays a bigger version in the main image. Adding this page is an important step in the development of the site, as games are the major content type I made in the past 7 years.
New game pages added
"Disconnect" game
I added a page for the Disconnect game that I released in 2019. Although the gameplay itself isn't that captivating, the game has a lot of nice technical features: drag and drop, save system that remembers all moves in all levels, move undo, responsive scaling and board rotation, randomly generated levels, context aware tips, or an overlay system.
"Big Brain Dungeon" game prototype
Big Brain Dungeon is just a prototype, however it had a great reception on itch.io for the quality and scope of the project, so I decided to include it in my projects list.
Header and footer tweaks
The website footer was pretty small with just a funny message. I wanted for it to be more functional, so now it shows the lists of links to Games, Blog categories and Pages.
In the header navigation the Games link was added and the Home link removed.
Changes for engine discoverability
The majority of this website's pages isn't indexed on google, so I decided to improve the meta data to hopefully show up in the search results. The head section of all the pages was very lacking. I went through all posts, pages, categories, and added the meta description, title and canonical link to each of them.
I also added a sitemap.xml generation with currently 44 links there and linked it in Google Search Console and the Bing Webmaster Tools xD.
